Default 2003 Polaris 700 Sportsman

I have a 2003 Polaris 700 Sportsman with about 3,400 miles on it. The machine is well cared for with annual maintenance performed on it. Most of my milage is on The Hatfield and McCoy Trail System. I have noticed the rear wheels do not sit true to the ground and seem to point out from the bottom a little. I have seen this on much newer machines that I have followed with many less miles than mine. My question is, is this normal for independant suspension. Thank You

I was thinking it could be the shocks or springs, what do you think???

shocks and springs main purpose is to support the weight and control the ride.
Start by lifting or jacking the back end up and grab the rear wheel at 12o clock and 6o clock, push and pull on the wheel and you might find a lot of play in the
wheel bearings.
I have about 3000 miles on my 03 and have had to replace one side twice and the other side once.

Was it a big job? What did you replace, the bearings?

Speeddrive1, thanks for this information. Are there inner and outer bearings like on a car, and was it a hard job to do?

Can download a 2003 shop manual here if you have a fast connection, about 250 megs.

It is a twin row bearing that is pressed in to the hub.
