Default 07 sportsman fuel gage quit working?

I went out and plowed the driveway today and noticed it was on a 1/4 tank. So when I finished my drive I had to go plow the parents, so I loaded it up and took it to the gas station. Filled'r up. One whoping gallon of gas..... Onloaded'r at the parents and it is on a half tank?????

Any ideas......

maybe the sensor is stuck or has a loose wire. i believe the electronic fuel sensors work by resistance to ground. if there is more resistance it has less fuel in it. if it has a loose ground then the resistance would be higher than what is calibrated for.

According to Polaris tech support(when I was still at the dealership) Those gauges are not accurate for the first 1/2 tank. They are suppose to be accurate at "Empty" though. When it says it's gone, it probably is!

Personally i had a machine in one time and the gauge read FULL. I siphoned out approximately 3/4 of a gallon and the gauge went to 1/2 tank.
