Default Snow plow on Honda 420

Hey guys,

I bought a 5' Snowbear snow plow for my '08 Honda 420. I installed it but have a few problems. It has a manual lift, but I cant lift it. I don't know if I have something not adjusted right or what. Also the plow frame moves when going ahead and back. Shouldn't it be solid? Does anyone have this brand of blade? Any help is always appreciated. Thanks. when you say you cant move the handle, it it too heavy or what? and the plow frame itself should be solid and not move atall. make sure you have things set up correctly, per the instructions. the manual lift plows i have seen do have diffirent adjustmants, like a spring that assists in moveing the blade.

Thanks for the quick reply. I followed the instructions, but it was not that clear. Mostly small pictures to go by. Here is a link to a web page to show the blade. Snowbear atv plow. There is no helper springs on this set up... I can't get it off the ground. It would break the lever first...

WOW! that looks flimzy as snot! it mounts to the ball hitch way in the back of the ATV? i see a set of springs mid-wayalong the "mono-frame" does this attach to the bottom of the ATV as well? is so those a helper springs (im guessing). did you install that spring piece with the handle up or down? that might effect it.

i have not seen a plow set up like that. honestly, did you keep the reciept? cuz it looks very flimzy and idk how well that would last, or even work! i would send it back and buy a brand name plow: moose, warn, cycle country, ect.

You are right, it is very flimsy. Yes it mounts to the trailer hitch. There is two very thin pieces of steel up front. That go up over the frame then put a rod through them. Very poor setup IMO. They didn't have any on display, so I was disappointed when I got it out and started assembling. I will see if they will take it back. Thanks for the help.
