I need a starter
#1
My starter is messing up in the cold weather. I need to order a starter. Polaris wants $321 for a stater, I DON"T think I will be buying from them.
Anyone have a good bead on a parts place that I can order a starter from?
thanks

it is not the battery. I just bought one for $70 on Ebay. Hopefully I will get it by next weekend because my girlfriends day is gonna help me install it and put my winch on in his shop next weekend

my starter worked fine today in the mild temps. it seems like when it gets colder than freezing the starter don't work and the pull cord don't work.
is temp. effected stuff like this normal?

I recently bought a new starter from DB Electrical- http://www.db-starter-alternator.com (they also sell on ebay).
Along with a new battery the starter has worked flawlessly, even in sub-zero temps.
$42 bucks for a new starter ($54 after shipping) beats messing around with buying new parts and re-building. Good Luck!
