We have The Outlanders 650 & 500 both great machines the 500 gave us some in the gear box. Took 2 tries before they got it fixed. Had to get a spring kit for the front struts to get it to handle better. The 500 is a lot better now, but wished we have 2 650's. The 650 handles much better and is a smother ride.

I had(still have) an 06 400 and loved it. Took me anywhere all year round.
Riding double this fall with my wife to go up the mountain and look at the dead leaves we bottomed out a few times and could have used a bit more power. She had a great time and said she would like to do it again. So strike while the iron is hot..... "well honey, if we had a bigger one we could ride like this more, and we can get a plow for it". So she says, "go ahead"......
I found an 07 800XT with 245 miles on it, full skids, fender flares, tail bag, etc for a good price. I can not believe how much more power it has !!!! OMG !!!!! And it plows like a dream......
I have only been out in the trails a few times with it so far and it rocks. Too much power in the tight stuff, but you just have to learn to control it. 50-60 mph on snow covered roads is a blast too... And people freak out when you wheelie the thing

Haven't ridden a Outy yet. I know some folks in my ATV club that like em. I've heard people who have ridden both say the Polaris is a little more comfortable, but I'm sure the Outy is like riding a fast couch too. I don't think anything beats the big machines for ride quality. With a slightly ruptured disk in my back I can tell you the Outys and the PoPos were the two on the top of my list.
