Ideas on how to move an immobilized ATV?
#1
So I posted a week or so ago about my "brand new" Yamaha Griz 700 that doesn't come out of park. The dealer is doing the right thing and replacing it for me, but I need to get this thing on a trailer or in my truck.
Any ideas how this can be done for an ATV that won't come out of park? The only thing I can think of is to get a bunch of guys and lift the bugger, but that would suck.

If its you gear selector box,you might see if you can disconnect the linkage from you gear selector box and try to shift it with just the linkage shaft.I dont know how they are set up but you might see if you can disconnect the drive shaft.Make sure it is in 2-wheel drive if you do this so you dont have to disconnect front driveshaft.

put the beast on some furniture movers. I wouldnt adjust or touch anything if the dealer is taking it back, that sounds like a back fire waiting to happen, if all else fails they should come pick it up.
hope this helps.

Do all 4 wheels lock when in park? How far is it to the trailer and what kind of terrain are you going accross? You could borrow your little brother's Little Red Wagon and set the whole Grizzly up on that and pull it to the trailer. Or borrow 4 Barbie Big Wheels from your neighbors and put 1 under each Grizzly tire.
