ETC 93 350L
#1
Hi, i was just wandering if anyone can tell me how to disconnect the ETC on my 350L. It has 3 Wires (white,red/white, and grey). I've read other posts that say to disconnect the black wire but mine has no black wire. I think this may be the problem with my bike dying after running for a few minutes. Any help on the topic would be appreciated. Thanx.

I have been working on my 92 350L trail boss 4X4 for about 4 months trying to get my 4wd to operate. the final step was to replace the ETC switch.
The ETC switch feeds power to the demand 4 wheel drive switch when the throttle is moved off idle. The ETC switch has nothing to do with how the engine runs, only with the operation of the 4 wheel drive. The idea of the ETC switch is to disconnect the front magnetic hubs when the machine is sitting at idle with the demand switch left on. This keeps the magnetic hubs from overheating and burning up thedemand system.
I hope you find whatever is wrong with your ride, and please pass on how you cured your problem.
Thanks
A. J.

the ETC will kill the motor if it senses something wrong with the throttle control. you probably need to find your rev limiter box calmur16. it has the black wire you was to disconnect. usually under the hood piece and on the right side of the plate mount.
