Default 1997 Sportsman 500 Tires

Anyone know what the stock tire sizes are for a '97 Sportsman 500? I'm having some trouble finding out (read conflicting reports).

Any help would be appreciated.

Front: 25 x 8-12

Rear: 25 x 11-10

Polaris chanced to 12" back rims in 2003.

Its harder to find tires for 10" rims but there out there if you look. I,m thinking of these myself

Good price for 6 ply tires.

Here's what the stock TRACKER P tires look like. Great tire IMO. Better than a 489 but neither is a mud tire. http://www.goodyearatv.com/cfm...tire.cfm?mymodelid=122

Thank you both for the info! And I love the Tracker P tires. I rarely see mud so I think they are gonna be perfect for riding the hunting trails.

Thank you again!

I like the Tracker P also, but boy they are exspensive, I found 6 ply ITP Mudlites XL with the 1-1/8 " lugs for a better price.
