Hi,
I am new to the forum and want to ask a question about my 2004 400 Rancher AT. My quad started out under alot of Torque it would lose all power to the wheels in 4 wheel drive and a grinding or clanging noise came from right below me and as soon as I let off the throttle It would stop making the noise and would be back to normal It has progressively got worse now It will do it in 2 wheel drive and has a slight noise when I just drive it now.. Does anyone know what this sounds like and If there is another thread that anyone knows that would help me I would appreciate a link Thanks Alot SS

Sounds like the Hondamatic transmission is going out

Just so Everyone knows my problem has been solved It was the main shaft going into the tranny It was stripped So Iam Soon to be back Riding Woohooo !!!
