polaris reverse

If it has a higher than stock primary spring OR a full clutch kit.... yes. If it's all stock then no, it shouldn't.
If it's stock & doing it, that possibly tells me that the belt is worn alot allowing the engine to rev high enough to engage the limiter in reverse.

i got it used, and it was really well taken care of, so im not sure if its stock or not.
if i try to back it up in reverse without hitting the override button, the motor bogs down, then backfires, then dies
what should i do

thanks.
the way it was explained to me from the guy i got it from was...
it will go in reverse without pushing the button, only just slowly.
to go in reverse fast, you have to push the button.
so i was thinking it was broken because it only went in reverse when pushing the button.
