2002 Polaris Sportsman 500 brake trouble.
#1
I finally got out for a ride on the bike after a long period of working on it.I got it good enough to try it.I started to loose brake pressure in the lever I was out for a few hours of riding but as I got near the house lever went all together.I got off the bike and took a look at the rear caliper I decided to take it off because the pads are shot and there is fluid running out of the piston inside the caliper plus there seemed to be a bit coming out the lever itself.
I am wondering is there a rebuild kit for the rear caliper or is it a total replacement .When I got the caliper apart one of the pistons does not look in great shape.I am going to order new brake pads from the dealer and I wondering about if you can get a rebuild kit.I just thought I would ask around as to what to do.
