2000 sportsman 500. Awd was working fine,just had a bent axle,so I replaced the axle with a new one,also put in new strut seal and new hub seal.Now I put everything back together several times so I know its back together right,but the hub on that side wont lock in

 

Check that power is going to hub(connectors under front cover, gray and brown small wires for both sides) Also 3 tabs on armature plate must line up correctly on hilliard,torque on hub nut 12 foot pounds.

 

checked power already,armature plate is magnetized to strut and the three tabs on plate are in slots on hilliard . is the 12ft lbs that critical?

 

yes the 12 ft pound is very critical

Can anyone tell me if it's normal for the front wheels to spin in 2x4 with the wheels off the ground (on a jack not a wheely), they don't spin when I hold them.
