sometime when i press the starter button it just makes a clicking noise near the battery whats goin on?

 

The starter Solenoid makes that clicking sound. It is probably going bad.

or loose connection

 

It is a small round black part by the battery. The positive wire comes off the battery and goes directly the solenoid. The red wire connecting them is 6-8 inches long.

 

Could be the starter selinoid but my buddy has a raptor 660 and it does the same thing, turns out it is just a loose ground wire on his battery. but the starter selinoid is definately possible cause my other buddys ltz400 had something like that happen
