Was wondering if i was doing this correctly, trying to set the timming on my 200s. I set the timming mark on the flywheel on the T line and checked the sprocket on top which is not linning up and will not.. the mark either falls one ahead or one behind..now It will line up with the f line but not the t..what is going on here??

 

You should be setting on the F
This should also be checked with the engine running at about 1,400 RPM +-100 RPM

Alright then so what does the t mark line up with? Is it the pick up ?

 

Valve adjust and cam timing
That is top dead center
The F is advanced or before top dead center
If you set to the T your timing would be retarded
