Default ATV-Guru Bumpers, With or without expanded metal

I like the looks of the ATV-Guru front bumpers, but was wondering about the expanded metal option covering the headlights and radiator. Are they worth the trouble they might be cleaning mud and debris out of them? With the headlight lenses being plastic, I don't know if that much protection is really needed.

IMHO the headlight isn't really needed, but I would go for it down by the rad. just for the unexpected thing that may decide to jump into your rad.

Default Bumpers

I like the concept but opted for the Polaris stuff because I got an awesome deal on eBay. For next to nothing you can pick up some heavy duty expanded metal and a few pieces of flat stock that you can weld up and bolt to the front of a stock brushguard. That way you have the added protection and it is removable for cleaning. If I get around to it sometime in the near future I will post pics.

I was wondering the same exact thing last time I visited his site. Seems like the expanded metal might reduce the amount of light as well. But like others have said, you never know when / if you're going to kick up an oak spear that might go right through your radiator.

I have full expanded metal on mine. The added protection, if nothing else gives me peace of mind knowing I did all I could do to prevent any damage.
I haven't noticed any reduction in the light, if there is any it's very slight.
There is also enough room to clean the headlight lenses without difficulty.

Cool. That's good to hear. Haven't decided on Polaris or Guru yet. I'm certain the Guru is a superior product, but likely pick up the Polaris for 1/2 the price.

I am not a fan of the expanded metal on the Guru bumpers either. I wound up buying the Guru bumpers without the expanded metal and they look awsome! they are also much stronger than the Polaris bumpers i had on my 2009.
