Angry blaster clutch dragging (Help a bro out)

Hey I am rebuilding and can't figure out why clutch is dragging. It will drag for a little but eventually it will spin. Doesn't matter what gear its in. I adjusted every way possible and clutch assembly is good. Friction plates and clutch steel plates are cool, I am stumped?

make sure that the little ball is in the middle adjusting stem. you should have a little shaft that goes in the middle then the little ball and then the adjusting stem. This would be one thing that I can think of right of the top of my head.

Yeah the rod and ball is all there, there is some grooving on the clutch housing, so i filed and sanded down smooth, then I cleaned and dried all the friction disks and clutch plates. ( I even hit the disks with some 1000 grit, both sides put it togerther dry and I worked like a charm.) So now I'm thinking that the friction disks are swolen or 80w gear saver is too heavy.. Crazy huh

What's spec oil for the gear case? I don't own one, but 80 weight sounds like it is way to thick?

I bet that's your problem. I would trash the 80 and get a good 20 or 30 weight in there.
It will only cost you a couple of bucks to find out.

Let us know what you find.

Yeah tried 10- 30 and did the same thing. has to be friction disks, or something is warped either inner basket or maybe end cap. This sucks
