I think it my clutch but i wanna make sure. When my 96 warrior is running in neutral, I can pull in the clutch lever and here and noise in the motor where the clutch cable met the motor. It almost sounds like loose ball bearings. It sounds like loose ***** in the motor right inside the motor. Do you have any idea whats wrong? Im getting ready to order a new clutch, will this take care of the problem. Thanks a lot. And another thing: I just changed my oil and now i think im running lean. now my head pipe glows after it runs a little while. What caused this? Could it be that i got the oil filter in wrong? I put it in with the side of the oil filter that has a gasket that has the little squares facing out and the plain round gasket sticking in. Is that right? Thanks a lot

Mabe your clutch is worn out and over tightened? Thats the only thing I can think of? Dont know about the oil filter, I suggest if you dont know 100% what you are doing take it to a shop a tune-up shouldnt cost much?

Jiz, yammy rules, what do you ride? polaris??

Nice going, JIZZZZZ...very informative post there. Why can't people offer real help, instead of continuing this senseless bashing??? Just think how great this forum COULD be if people would just use a little discretion! Can't we all just get along? A word to the wise is sufficient.

If you have the O-ring facing out you're correct on the filter. As for the other problems, the oil change would have nothing to do with the lean problem. Did you loosen or remove the carburetor boots for any reason? Do you have a leak there? Rather than rattle on about possible reasons for your other noises,I'd suggest you take the bike to someone who knows his business and let him diagnose the problem(s). Diagnoses via internet can be fruitless at best and costly at worst.

ok i got the oil filter thing straightin out. i had it in right. now, the clutch. i think that when i put the new barnett clutch in that it will fix the clutch problem. Do u think that the weather may cause a quad to lean or not warming it up enuff? hopefully i can get it fixed soon tho.

My friend just had a clutch problem on his warrior, instead of getting it checked out by a mechanic, he decided to come riding with me, his bike has now cost him close to 2,000 in repairs because a piece of the something or other (clutch?) drum broke off and went through the transmission, caused the piston to chip and sent a bunch of metal through some pretty expensive stuff, bent 2 shift forks, warped his cylinder to the point the sleeve was loose in the barrel, ect. Dont make the same mistake It could be something simple like a shot bearing, Which is what it was to start off with in my friends case, but it could also end up costing you big time.
