Default 70 ATC bogging need help

I was looking to get a 70AC for my son and the one I looked at the guy says it bogg after riding it for about an hour or so.

What is this.

Is it a carb setting (too hot)

Or is it because it needs new ring and piston.

Or is it because its just AIR cooled?

Whatcha think

it could be this, maybe letting so much oil in that it fouls the plug after a while. although if i keep mine running at medium rpms it doesn't foul and my rings are completely shot.

the carb setting could be bad, and it could be a bad fuel/air ratio making the plug foul and bog.

Heres what you do. Ride the three wheeler for about 5-10 minutes and get i warm. let it idle. if it idles at about 1500rpm (you'll have to ear guess it) then your fine. If not, turning the screw in will raise the idle, out will lower. After your idle is adjusted, move on to the Fuel/Air. turn the screw on the left all the way in until it seats lightly, then turn it 7/8 to 1 full turn out. Then re-adjust your idle as it may have changed. And there you go, fuel air is all set. It may also be a good idea to clean the carb before you do this, but i haven't a clue how mechanically inclined you are.

the rings could be so bad that its letting a ton of oil into the chamber, fouling the plug and leaving a bog effect, and sooner or later not running at all.

Check your points too.

i highly doubt air cooling is the problem. i've taken my 70 wheeler on 2 hour rides with not cooling issues.
