Hi Guy's I want you all to help me decide what tires to get to replace the whimpy looking 25 inchers on my grizzly 550, I dont know if I should get ITP terracross or the maxxis bighorns. Also Should I stick with a 12'' wheel and 26'' tire or should I get the 27'' tire and the 14'' wheel? I want a soft ride. No matter what I get I will be contacting EPI for a trail bashing clutch kit to match whatever tires I go with. I dont mud bog I mostly trail ride at slower speeds, I almost never go past 40mph. I love the look of the bighorns.

 

you should get the 27" by 14" mudlites even though you might not be going through a lot of mud and at slower speeds but it will give you a good ride!

 

Bighorn 2.0's. I would stay with the 12 inch wheel 26 inch tire combo, Bighorns outside diameter add an inch. 26"=27". The higher the sidewall, the smoother the ride, since the sidewall helps absorb bumps.

For what it's worth, I'd go with the Big Horns. They are nice trail tires. I'd also stay with the the 12s. The added sidewall will help to soften the ride. The only advantage there is to the 14s is that you'll get better handling which really won't be that noticeable except at higher speeds. For what you say that you do, the 26s should be just fine. Only go as big as you need to. Bigger tires mean more wear and tear.
