Default Sportsman 700 efi

Brand new here and looking for a litlle help with a new bike. Just picked up a Sportsman 700 efi. THe first time I rode it for any length of time, I noticed a clunking sound. Posted about it on a different forum and got some answers that explained it was normal. Got on the bike yesterday and while riding heard it again and hopped off. This time I was able to localize the sound to the rear axle. Right where the shaft goes into the rear case was smoking and seems to bind every so often. This is my first Ute and Polaris so forgive the stupid question. More use to sport bikes. Anybody have any ideas?

You might want to check the roll pins that hold the driveshaft on...I think they can work themselves out and bind on something??? I have never had it happen to me, but I have heard about it. (check the front and rear of the rear shaft)
