Default Shifts gears a bit hard

My warrior has sat for quite some time, and by quite some time I mean like 2 years. Carb is all cleaned out she idles great, and starts up great. I cannot get it to run without the choke on, and shifting is pretty rough. There is definitely oil in it. Some said that perhaps it just needs to be run for awhile (after I had ridden it around the block a few times to try to get it warmed up). Does anyone have any suggestions?

When was the last time the oil was changed? Usually if the shifting is notchy on a wet-clutch machine it is because the oil is done......

I'm not sure when it was changed, however when I checked to oil it looked clean. Although, I guess on a quad that has not had much use the oil could still be old. I'll the oil a change. Thanks for your input.
