xplorer 400 counterbalancer using oil?

Thumbs down xplorer 400 counterbalancer using oil?

my 96 xplorer 400 has been leaving a few drops of what looks like counterbalancer oil on the garage floor and also seem to be adding to it more often the macine runs great and carrys about 115 pounds of compression, never had any problems with it before i was hoping some of you guys might have some idea's for me

might be a seal or somthing.. somtimes they go out.. i would pressure wash and degrease the motor to find the source,, and go from there.. my bike leaks a little oil.. i dont mind.. its earned the right.. if you wanna fix it maybe suggest doing a rebuild on the motor while your at it.. or just keep an eye on it and top off when needed

Check you r counter balancer fluid, if it is Milky looking, then your seal is going and antifreeze is getting behind it

oil is clear and clean as can be no milkyness what so ever

Hey sry to sound stupid but were is the counter balance oil fill spot on ur motor? I cant find mine

Change the outer seal before you have to change both inner and outer and take a chance of messing up the counterbalance shaft

Part # 53. It takes a little 10w-30.
