So after a few years of riding only a few times a year, i decided i wanted to get back out after findign some new trails in my area. But havent been able to get my trailblazer to run correctly.

First it started off as it woujldnt start unless i applied alot of throttle. So i took the carb off disassembled it and cleaned it all out, emptied the gas and replaced it with fresh tank, and replaced the spark plug.

Got it all together tonite and it fired right up. Got on and ripped around for a short time then it started to bog down and woudl come back alive again. Almost like it was running out of gas. Definetly dont think its a secondary clutch problem, i replaced the buttons i think last summer. Seemed like it would run better with the choke on a little bit and would idle fine with the choke off.

any ideas? the clip on the needle jet seemed sketchy if the needle jet clip came off could this cause this problem?

 

If runs better with choke on sounds like main jet still a little stopped up, or need to raise needle to see if it helps? If needle clip came off then yes could cause problems

 

also replaced my old crappy K&N that was dirty and really clogged up with a fresh new one. I run no airbox straight off the carb could this have made that big of a difference to cause it to not be getting enough gas from the main?
