Default New 200X

i jus bought an 86 200X for $500. It Starts 1st or 2nd kick. Almost perfect condition with a few minor things to fix. Like it needed to be cleaned up, new spark plug, tighten the hubs, and front sprocket and tighten the chain, seat is a lil rough, but still rode and performed fine when purchased. Seems like a prtty good deal to me, i used to have an 84 200S till the rings went out on it. I've been riding for bout 5 years now. This thing is fun ride, and goes.

Welcome to the forum. Yeah after 26yrs. those things can be expected, sounds like a good deal now you have a building block to build it like you want it to be. 200x's are really fun to ride and easy to throw around.

Usually the first mods are aftermarket exhaust, re jetting, uni or k&n air filter, and removing or at least drilling holes in the top of the airbox. those are the easiest mods to wake up a restricted engine. The only times I go into an engine is to build a purpose built bike cause once you start boring, porting and such the reliability starts to go down.
