Recon, high idle when warm

it is possible that your pilot skrew is a little lean and after the engine warms up this problem shows itself.
here is what i would do. 1. inspect and tighten carb boots, so there is no air leak.
2. service your exhaust, there is a bolt on the bottom of the exhaust can. plug the exhaust hole with a rag and remove the bolt, then rev the quad a few times until black carbon stops coming out.
3. wait for the high idol to take effect then tune it down with your idol speed screw. that is how the manual says to set your idol. if this effects your cold starting ability then you may need to set your pilot screw richer(screw out 1/2 turn at a time).
a good carb cleaning wouldn't hurt ether.
