Default Might be looking to get a Chinese 250cc-300 quad

What kind of power can I expect from a Roketa 300cc quad. I'm 230lb and will basically doing trails. I was also looking at a used 2005 Kawasaki KFX700 for a $1000 more. I know the Kaw is a no brainer but I figure I could save a grand and buy a Chinese for my kid. How are getting upgrades for these things. Will I be disappointed in the power?

Welcome to the forum hugabone !

If your comparing a Chinese Quad to a KFX 700 your going to be hugely disappointed...Spend the 1K more and you'll be so much happier it will seem like its free...

Upgrades are almost non existent and sometimes its hard to get simple replacement parts...

"Will I be disappointed in the power?"

Compared to a 700 yes, it's not even a fair comparison! You do not sound like someone that would be happy with any Chinese atv!
