Default 2001 Sportsman wireing help

I replaced a starter on my 2001 Polaris Sportsman. I made a mistake and did not pay close attention to the wiring on getting everything back together. I need to know where the wire goes from the voltage regulator. It is a black wire but I believe it goes on the positive side of the battery. I have one black wire on the negative side of the battery from the starter and another black wire to the battery coming from the front of the ATV. I have a red wire to the battery from the solonoid and I am thinking this other wire from the voltage regulator goes to the positive side of battery as well. Sorry if this sounds confusing. Thanks in advance.

that doesnt sound right as there (to me anyways guessing) shouldnt be a any wires form the recifier/regulator to the battery and guessing it wouldnt be black but would have to see a wiring diagram first. maybe someone willl have a older manual to check.
