Take the rear wheels off.. remove the left hub. take the 6mm bolt out, that goes through the big aluminum nut. pick the little round wire clip out, thats on the outside of the nut... (you might need to turn the big nut first) remove the rear brake caliper. Remove the big snap ring thats on the caliper bracket, & remove the bracket. take out the 2 nuts & bolts that hold the carrier in. (the ones you loosen to adjust the chain) slide the carrier out, then slide the axle out of the carrier. You'll need a BFH to get things apart. don't screw up the threads on the ends of the axle. I've been awake for almost 24 hours, my brain stoppd working a few hours ago.. so I might be forgetting something, but this should help you get moving in the right direction.

where are you located? if you get really stuck, try to post a pic, so we know exactly what you are talking about, & we'll talk you through it. with a really big hammer & lots of grease, you won't have any problem.

ok so I'm not really stuck i got it all apart but i put the carrier on backwards and had to take the axle out of it so the new race got stuck!! I tried and tried to get it off but its on there. So in the process i dented/boogered the metal by the sprocket up. So i think i might need a new axle so it dont just cut my plastic seal and have a redo in 5month. Just wondering if any of you done the same and it was fine...r if you have to get a new axle!!! And the race is still stuck so I'm kinda lost on what to do. HELP PLZ!!!!

Heres one on ebay.

you might be able to clean it up with some emery cloth.. if you take it to any garage, they will pop the race back off for you..
