02 700 sportsman engine locked up

Default 02 700 sportsman engine locked up
1.rebuild 3ooo.oo 2.remanufacture 2600.00 3.part out 4.buy used trouble finding.any sugestions

what locked up on it, crank or did the top end seize, really depends on whats wrong with it.

wrist pin broke.piston twisted broke rod and cylinder

I bought a 2002 700 with 650 miles for $2800 so it might make more sense to buy another quad and keep yours for parts.

or part it out for the age of the bike. imo

Look at this site,those parts do not add up more then $1000 for both cylinders. So they want $2000-1600 labour? OEM motorcycle and ATV parts from Honda, Yamaha & Polaris – Cycle Parts Warehouse
