Default Moose hand & thumb warmer installation

Hello,

Has anyone installed the Moose hand & thumb warmer kit on their Polaris Sportsman 850/550 XP? What is involved in the installation? I need to install my kit but was wondering if there are things that I need to watch out for, or which way is better to install it over another way.

Thanks

I have a few pics if you need them for the wiring install, but it's pretty simple. Get wire connectors to fit the extra leads under the little hood in the front.

Which one do you have? Is it the winter pack or the toggle switch set?

I have instaled original polaris, but it's same. It's very easy. The bigest problem is remove original grips from handlebar. The best way is it lube with silicon oil between grips and handlebar.

Here's how I got the grips off. Use your blow gunnfor air comp. and screw in a ball needle,( type for airing up a basketball) then you can poke a hole through the grip and shoot air in and pull on the grp at same time. Then for putting them back on just use good old spit, that way they stay secure right away and don't slide around from soap or any other lube. Works great!!

The dealer told me the same trick when I installed mine. Mine already had a hole on the end and you just plug one end with duct tape and blow from the other side. It really helps get new ones on too. Then you don't have to lube the bars, the air will make the grips expand and slide right on..
