2005 Rubicon with crazy warning lights
#1
I have a 2005 Rubicon with 1400 miles. All of a sudden the Oil/Temp light is on constantly. Cold/Hot - the second I turn on the key it comes on. I checked my coolant, oil, fan - all looks and runs excellent. I discovered that once I turn on the headlights, the warning indicator goes out completely.
Also, the following day, the green neutral indicator slowly fades out when shifted into gear and actually flickers a little bit. Do you suppose the whole panel is going bad? The LCD speedo/odom portion is ok right now.
I'd appreciate any of your suggestions as I do not have a wiring diagram.
Have a great weekend!

Welcome to the forum.
If it were mine, the first thing I think I'd try is disconnecting the battery and taking the body off as required to take apart every connector and hit them with contact cleaner followed by compressed air and diaelectric grease.

Thanks for the help! I did take it apart this weekend and it had about 1/2 cup of water inside it. The circuit board/connectors were badly corroded and some electrical pins were eaten away. I did some cleanup/soldering and it's now much better - however some numbers still do not display (2, 4 gear, Low, etc). Unfortunately, its probably time to look at a new display or "meter" as Honda calls it.
