In every FMF add I've seen, and on every Yamaha sport model, they have the front shocks upside down. Do these people know something we do not? I've gotta wonder if the suspension action is better due to less unsprung weight. But I also wonder if a non-gas charged shock will function correctly if it is inverted. Is any of the shock valving left non-functional by doing this? (oil drain-off from it's proper place?) Apparently not...who knows??? Has anyone tried this to see? If so, please post and tell us all what difference it made. I'm real curious.

I believe it is because of the weight factor.

There at Rockymoutainatv.

Sub frame:

Looks like the subframe ones aren't going to fit over the BG exhaust.

Their shocks are upside down? Could you explain this one a little better for me, As I have a yamaha banshee, and the shocks are in the upright position (I think!!)

When i picked up my raptor i told the dealer that they had my shocks on upside down but of course we don't know nothing and they know everything. His responds was all of the sport quads have the shocks that way, so i preceeded home with it to try it out. Well the shocks do not perform upside down, i jump a couple of small jumps by the house and the front end was bottoming and rebounding violently so i went back to the house and turned them right sideup and went back to the jumps and they performed the way they are suppose to

I noticed that all of fmf's ads have the shocks upside down also but believe me in that postion they ride like their is just a sring on the front very bouncee over jumps or bumps
Picture a car going down the highway with wore out shocks and it is justa bouncing down the road
