H.I.D Lights help

Default H.I.D Lights help

i installed sum hid light into my polaris predator but , they both cant fire up unless full battery and it kills my battery , would a relay help me out , a new and bigger battery (i got stock) or any way i can upgrade my charging system?

Check if your machine is charging your battery. Stator output at 1500 rpm should 14-15 volts. Load test your battery too. HIDS actually draw less from battery than regular headlights, so something is wrong somewhere.

HeftyLefty makes a good point. Last year my lights suddenly went berserk one night, I put the battery on charge and the next morning everything was working so I blamed the battery. A few hours later, same thing, lights blinking of and on. I tested the output of the stator, it was good, but next to no ouput from the voltage regulator. I wouldnt have noticed it until the machine wouldnt start if the extra load the lights put on the battery hadnt started me looking. There's a lot of posts on checking your stator, I dont remember where I found them, but take a look at it
