2000 Bayou 300 4x4: Clutch does not disengage when shifting up or down. I have to shift at low rpm or else shifting is hard and jerky.I have readjusted clutch but nothing changes. It works ok from neutral to 1st or reverse. Someone told me that I should not use automotive oil but it has done this since new. Also has a whining noise that changes with travel speed. Is this noise normal for a Kawi?

 

I'd take it straight to the dealer. If it had some oddities since it was new I would have taken care of it while it was under the factory warranty.
If it's below 6-months old they'll fix it for free, if not ask for suggestions or get ready to pay.
Warranty or not, it sounds like something's wrong and they can make it right.

 

It is still under warranty. I was just curious if anyone else had encountered this problem or had any ideas as to what was wrong.

 

i have a 94 KLF 300 . the clutch was smoked . i replaced it and tried to adjust it. it still doesn't work can anyone help me please. all help is welcome
