I am considering purchasing the 2009 Sportsman XP but I am afraid it won't fit through my 48.5" shed door. Polaris indicates the width of the machine is 48" so I have my doubts. Has anyone taken the XP through such a narrow opening?

 

I would think that leaves a very narrow place to snugly move in...and then back out of said opening....

 

With stock tires I can drive mine into my trailer and it's just a shade over 4 feet wide. It will fit a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood and all you can hear is the air swishing up as the plywood goes down. Drive carefully.

Tight but it will fit. The big issue here shouldn't be whether or not you buy the xp because it may or may not fit in your shed. It should be how soon you can build a shed that will fit the xp-lol!

 

Get a running start and I'm sure you will make it fit! LOL!
