I have a problem with the electrical system? everything works great until I run my headlights . after a while of running with the headlight on I start to loose power to my pod, and witch effects everything on the pod. I will shut the lights off then after a bit, everything comes back on, any help on what it could be? I already replaced the battery and voltage regulator? thanks tim.

my only guess is the generator/magneto/alternator, whatever it has on it, is going out and not putting out enough power to run everything.

Get a volt meter and connect it to the battery terminals, check voltage. you should have about 13 volts +/-.

Start the engine and watch the voltage on the meter. it should be around 13.6 volts dc. turn on your lights (high beam) and continue to watch the meter. If the charging system is working properly, the voltage should stay at 13.6 as long as the engine is running. If the voltage starts to drop, you will have to have your alternator or magnetto checked.

Hope this helps
