Default tight clutch pack?

This is another question about the same Tao Tao 125D that I recently bought for my son. When the unit is put in either forward or reverse, the unit will move on its on. I cant adjust the idle low enough so that it will stand still. Is this something that will correct itself with time or should the clutch pack be adjusted, assuming this is even possible.

Thanks
Bill

I dont know if the clutch pack can be adjusted? I know the engagement for the auto clutch can be adjusted, dont think that will help you though.

Has anyone experienced issues like this before? I wonder if it will resolve as the clutches wear some? Unit hasnt been ridden much at all due to the cold.

Get 8-10 hours on it & this will go away, maybe even less than that & you will see a improvement, its not slipping the way it should at idle & usually this will fix its self because the plates will slip for you & not move the machine. Be sure to change the shipping oil out also, this will help. I recommend Castrol 10W40, don't use synthetic as this will actually cause your clutch to slip to much after time & you will have to replace it.
