Default polairs

02 polairs 700 will not crank just clicks do they have a neutral switch

yes but if it is clicking check battery (voltage) solenoid, starter and wiring

if it is clicking, I would say your starter solenoid is shot, you need to check to check to see if you have voltage on the battery side of the solenoid, and then while attempting to start it, see if you have voltage on the other side.

That's my guess, also do some searching, there has been several threads about these types of issues

make sure batt. is 100% charged and then w/ key in the on postion, jump the 2 big solenoid wires and if it still clicks it's the starter that has issues and not the solenoid and if it does fire up then you know it's the solenoid that is bad.

Doe's the starter come out with the drive .

Sten, You've got a pretty amazing array of experience with these machines. I can only figure, lots of messing around with various rigs.

na, just dumb luck did check to see if the starter will engage?

Default Polaris Starter

I've been stupid with this POS , will the starter motor come out without removeing the side cover , I should have checked the starter firdt thing.
