Default rear gearcase bolt for 96 polaris xplorer?

I am trying to figure out the bolt size for the rear gearshaft and brake assembly for a 96 xplorer 300. It's the bolt that goes through the center of the rear sprocket and gearshaft. I imagine that it's metric and it might be left handed threads. I can order one on line for dirt cheap but I need the bolt by this Monday so it kind of puts me in a bind. I have a local hardware store that has a huge bolt selection but I really didn't want to go there and just start buying tons of bolts with different threads/lengths etc.! So if anyone has the million dollar answer that would be great!! (If they would just say the size of bolt on the parts order pages online then I would be in good shape). But any help is greatly appreciated!

It's not metric. It's a 5/16 x 18. Approx 1 inch long, lock washer and a large washer.
