Can anyone tell me if the transmission switch under the gear selector has anything to do with the override button or does that only control the AWD? My AWD would not stay on and with help from others on this board, I was able to find the problem with the transmission switch. I am hoping the two problems are the same, but I am not sure. I cant figure how they would be linked together.
Problem: My ATV will only go 7 mph while in fwd unless I hold the override button. While in reverse though, the ATV goes as fast as I want without holding the override. (the two are reversed from what they are supposed to be) Also, as of now with a broken switch, the AWD light will only come on when I manually use the transmission switch and hold the override button in. When I release the Override button, the AWD lights shuts off.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and also thanks to those who helped with my last post!!

yep it is somehow reverse for sure. as you noticed the switch does control the override and tells the bike to put it in override mode when in reverse for safety. get the switched fixed and your issues should be solved. you might just bypass the overide if you don't want the safety in reverse.
