I have a 1998 and its a tank. the only thing That needed to be replaced was obdviously the oil and air filter . But other then that the battery, tires, starter, and the rear hub rounded out but other then then the starter and hub, those other things are just wear and have to be replaced no matter what. My speedomitor stoped working like 3 years ago at 8,8XX hours witch I feel no need to fix. that is alot of hours and only replaceing the starter and hub.

I have a 95 kodiak and i absolutely love mine. ive had it almost handle bars deep in water and mud and never had an issue with it. runs great. just had to rebuild the master cylinder cause it went out. but hey, i guess 15 years on the original parts is good. heck, im still on my oroginal tires.

I did have a problem with my 98 kodiak in 2 feet of snow last night. I had to walk to my house get a shovel, go back and dig it out. Then when I was trying to put it away It got stuck again. luckly the second time I had my shovel with me.

well over the weekend. i went thru and cleaned the carb out. went to do a simple oil change and found out they guy before me rounded off the drain plug. that was fun but was able to get it out. looks like the guy hasnt done a oil change in a couple years. oil had gas in it and some metal shavings that im not to fond of. i guess i'll be doing another oil change here in a couple of weeks and pray for no more metal shavings. other than that the quad is up and running great.
