Default Polaris 350L Transmission Fluid

I'm trying to find out what type of fluid I can use in a 1992 350L?
If I don't have to buy an expensive bottle from polaris, that would be great. How much does it hold?

According to the manual I have, it should be a type 2 trans. If so, you can use 30w motor oil. Takes approx 16 oz. Hopefully someone will verify this.

1996 was the first year of AGL,before that all the older transmissions used a nasty graphite based gear oil which is no longer available. You dont have to use AGL,but make sure any lube you do use is for chain case transmissions. OPT
