Default Just bought a new '08 Trailblazer - Already a rear shock issue!

Okay here is the scoop, just picked up a NEW '08 Trailblazer 330 today. Everything was fine and dandy there. When I got home and actually got to drive around a bit, I thought the ride seemed a little harsh, especially because others on here mentioned it would have a decent ride. Well when I pulled it in the garage I noticed the rear suspension was bottomed out and would not bounce back up unless I lifted it up. Mind you I drove it literally ten minutes not even half throttle. I know it has been sitting for a couple years. Just froze up maybe? Think it will break loose or do you think its shot? Good thing I'm under warranty I guess. I'll be calling the dealer Monday. The front suspension is good.

Other than that, got it for $3400 out the door. They wanted $3800. They threw in the hitch, full tank of gas, and a 15% discount on accessories so I'll probably get a rear rack.

Too bad jackass isn't covered under the warranty. The suspension is fine. It was just because the parking brake was on. I'm a moron. I went out and rode it around for a bit tonight and it was fine.

Handles bars seem a bit high for some reason, and I'm tall too.

Adjusted the headlight down a bit which helped. Is there a brighter bulb to help the light out? Some kind of aftermarket kit. Read something about a three light mod but wasn't sure if that applies to this. Would like to just switch the bulb out to something brighter.

It's going to be a long couple of tanks of gas breaking this thing in...

I don't know what bulb the Trailblazer uses, but I'm sure you could get a higher wattage bulb. Otherwise you could add the Scrambler headlights. I think they use the same handlebars so they should bolt right on.

Since you get an accessory discount, I would definitely get the rear rack. I put the rack on my Scrambler and now I don't know what I did for the first year without a rack.

Haha, actually one of the main reasons I avoided the Scrambler was those lights. Functionally I bet they are awesome but I just couldn't take the look. I'll do some research on some bulbs. They actually had a couple 2010 Scramblers for $5400 out the door. I don't like the new style though so I passed. Hopefully this does me well for while.

As for the rack, yeah I will be ordering it Monday. It will be nice to have and I think it will look decent too. Thanks for the info!
