Ok I just have a few questions, please help me out.
*Did it make your machine any less reliable?
*Total cost for you (and what kit you got, and any extras)
*How much Horsepower (or atleast a guess)?
*and finally would you recomend the same kit you got?

Mhargrove, good advise. The 400ex is a fine atv, but guys axaggerrate how reliable they are when modded. Once you stray very far away from stock on the 400ex, reliability problems start popping up. A bud of mines 440ex sits about half the time waiting for parts to come in.

ABSOLUTELY, I am very pleased with the results from my 440. Powroll did all the work for me and it has been rock solid for the past year now. Not a single problem and I mean not a single one. Of course I went a little on the mild side with some of mine like only a 10.5:1 piston but I knew I wanted some more reliability and I didn't want to run race gas. I also did other things and am still in the process of yet other mods, most of these have been aimed at the low end power. I did that on purpose because that seems to be where I am at most of the time riding. The difference to me was night and day and I do recommend it anyone seriously interested. I have also talked to other guys on here who have had very good results with their 440's and reliability not being a problem.

My 440 kit is awesome! It has been in since last April and I have not had a single problem. My bike is a full race 440. Everything that you can do to an engine mine has had it done. It has been 100% reliable over the past year. The only complaint I have is the 39mm FCR carb I have does not have a choke on it. When the temperature gets below freezing it is hard to start. It's a drag when my buddy on his Yamaha has to tow me to start it on those cold mornings.

Thanks guys, whats the highest compression I can go on without having to use race gas? And is race gas really "race gas" or is it just higher octane? I can get 107 (airplane fuel) for only $2.50 gallon? Is it the same?
