Default Riding Chinese ATV's

The boys were all home today so we fired up all the ATV's and took them for a spin through the mud & water!

We compared the atv's on "smoothest ride" today across the muddy/frozen fields.

#1 was mine anyone guess how the rest rated...

Hmmm, Yamaha, Honda, Jetmoto, Ducar....? All I know is the Yamoto Tyhpoon 110 (yes, that's how it was spelled on the sticker) I bought for my youngest son was like riding a brick with no suspension. It didn't even squat much with my 350 lbs. on it.

My Yamoto's stock front suspension was real stiff until I put on 1.5" wheel spacers.. Stick rear shock had 9/16" of travel..

Love the spelling.

I'm thinken like the Moose Yamaha, Honda, Jetmoto, Ducar. My sons Tao Tao 110 isn't exactly like riding a brick but it's not far from it.

mywifesquad got it right but he has an unfair advantage!!!

Jet, Honda, Ducar. Going from say the Jet 150 to the Ducar is a HUGE differance!
I still say they're (jet 150) a sweet quad for kids, even with their quirks.

On the Ducar we flipped the front wheels so the rim offset is the other way. It makes them stick out a couple inches farther and seems to help some. Ducar even has the original battery. As I've have mentioned on here time after time the damn Ducar I spent far more time tinkering on it the first year then I have the last 3. Now that I got the bugs out the kids don't ride it as much. Out of the three lads only one is quad crazy like his dad lol!! The other two don't mind coming out but the one is on them every day he can be and bugs his dad to go on quading trips!!

Yeah, my second son isn't into riding either. I'm glad I got him a cheap quad to try out. If I had bought a $2000 Honda or Kawasaki or something like that I would have been ripped at him. $600 and a few hours drive time didn't upset me as much. He decided he didn't like riding as it is "bumpy". I would have given half my teeth to have something to ride as a kid. My buddy got hand me downs from his uncle. Picture two young teens on a Vespa motor scooter going trail riding. We had a few accidents over the couple years we kept it running.

Your 150 is similar to my 250... one thing it has is real supple suspension... I figured yours did too.

I did that on my Yamoto before making wheel spacers. It increases the leverage on the shocks which gets a softer ride..
