Going riding next week end and taking some buddys with. My one friend brought over his trail boss over (with 00 Trailblazer engine). He took carb apart 2 times and I did once. It was full on crud the first time and we also drained the tank. It wont run with choke off. Quad has been sitting for 3 or four years. I tryed spraying for vacuum leaks and found none. I just cleaned the carb on my Trail blazer and this looked the same. What am I missing?

did you guys clean every passage and all jets in the carb? it's not hard to miss some crud. also if there was dirt in the tank it could have plugged the gas filter as well. also make sure the float is being set right. imo

 

Yes that is what I thought when my friend called me. I was very surprised to see it as clean as it was.

 

Just letting you guys know we pulled it apart again and pulled the pilot jet out and although air blew threw it it was badly restricted. Cleaned it out and quad runs great now.

Quads are loaded on the trailer hooked to the truck. Now rain for 4 straight days.
