Default 09 850 XP wont start...

My XP wont start, the battery is fully charged and there are NO loose wires. After I washed my XP, I went to start it, it rolled twice then just started "clicking", is it possible my starter got wet?

I tried to start my XP today, it rolled twice, then the starter just "clicked", does this mean the battery is dead? Because, according to the battery charger, its full...

I would only access the battery with any chargers disconnected and using a good voltage meter. If the voltage is good then I would monitor the voltage for drop when you try to start it. You should see a good drop of voltage. But if the voltage drops to very low volts you might have a bad battery.

Check the battery terminals to make sure that they are tight. It has been an issue with the loose connections on some 850's including mine.

Yea I thought that too. What happens is the battery cable terminal catches the raised plastic on the battery. I had to put a small washer between the battery terminal and the cable as a shim to make some clearance.

I would try to "tap" on the starter with the wooden end of a hammer or a rubber mallet (may not be enough room for this option) as this was an old trick for similar problems on car starters many moons ago. Don't break anything, it's just to see if it will free something up and allow the starter to kick in.

Figured it out, my starter is done, apparently they're not as waterproof as one might think...

The inside of the starter is rusted and coroded, and wont even spin. I suggest all 850 XP owners keep an eye on the rubber coating on the starter for rips and tears, as a new starter is about $500 or more...
