Hi, I having been shopping for a new ATV for my wife and we test drove a 2010 sportsman 300 she really like the size of the ATV and the way it drove. The only issue was she said she would have liked alittle more power so I was thinking about a 2010/11 Sportsman 400 HO it appears to be the same ATV size as the 300 just a larger cc motor. Has anyone owned a 400 any feedback you can give me on this ATV good or bad?

 

Actually the 400 Sportsman is a 455cc so it should be alot more powerful than the 300 she rode with the same chassis.

The 455 is the same Fuji built motor as the 500 sportsman, just a different bore and stroke.

I've owned both and if she liked the 300, she'll be exstatic about the 400HO. Its a bit of a hot rod. You'll probably want to set the front wheel alignment to "0" toe in. Much easier to steer. Both are top notch rides.

 

yep owned one and it has plenty of power(the 400) and small enough fr the wife to like.
