Someone told me that a Recon will smoke a Rancher in a drag race. Is this true?

 

That person must be a Recon owner....oh wait, I'm a Recon owner...No it won't smoke my Rancher. It's quick and nimble but it won't smoke it. Top speed on a Recon is not that close to a Rancher..I'm speaking stock on both machines. I have a Honda 300 4x4 and the Recon can not beat that either. I thought it would but it can't. But if your riding the Recon, it sure feels like your going faster then it feels on a 300 or Rancher.

the recon will beat the 300 4by4. the 300 tops out at 72kph, and the recon will at 80km. it will also beat it in a drag race. I switched with the person and he beat me on the recon.

 

he weighs about 85lbs.

 

Yep I'm saying a stock recon will not beat out a stock 300. They are both 97 models. I picked them up the same day. Took them back for the first check up and raced them that same day. I weigh 250 and the person riding the Recon weighs about 125-135. I'm guessing mind you. It was a kid that works for me and he has a warrior of his own. First we raced across a field. Then on a oil/chip road. I'm not trying to say anything bad about the recon at all. I ride mine more then the rancher when weather permits because it's a whole different ride and feel. I love the way it turns. So my comment was not a slam by no means. I just happen to own both and have raced them against each other.
