I acquired this quad nonrunning. Put a new battery in it and the starter relay would only click. Now nothing happens. Battery is fully charged. The safety switch is engaged. Also the fuse is good. It won't even start when kicked over. Any suggestions on where to start with this thing?

Absolutly nothing happens. As if the battery is dead. Before, I could get the starter relay to click but no voltage would reach the starter. Now nothing happens. Also, it can not be kickstarted. The battery is fine, all connections are good, fuse is good. My patience, not so much lol.

 

ok the other day my daughters atv quit starting nothing hit start nothing
got my bulb tester out and tracked it down to the ignition switch got a new one on the way.

you are going to have to start checking switches
i use a bulb tester some people use an ohm meter,i prefer the bulb

switch test-leave key off there should be one hot wire on the switch in off position.
find it first this will be the wire coming from battery and through a fuse.

if you find that check to make sure the switch is good-take your bulb tester and prob wires in the swith you will find a wire that will turn your bulb tester on and off when you turn the key on and off.find this one now

if you find these two wires your swith is good

sorry your switch is probley good if you got the cylinoid to click

heres what i would do try putting some gas down in the spark plug hole and see if it trys to fire.just a little bit of gas and then kick start it it should try to start.if it is a two stroke use mixed gas

if it does not try to fire on the gas pull the plug and check for spark as you kick start it.


this will tell us the next step

if it was mine i would forget about the starter for now,i would just try to get it running by kick starting it.

we need to know if its getting fire to the plug

 

Will do, don't know why I didn't think of checking spark via kickstarting it. One other thing. The igintion switch checks out but none of the other things work such as horn or brake lights. This thing is contributing to my male pattern baldness.
